Step 14: After  I make the selection I copy (Ctrl+C) the finished eye.

Step 15: I’ll now begin to small details on the character , adding more yellow  for her hair. And I decide to change her clothing clour to dark blue.  Sometimes I have to change some colors like this. I am  pretty much finished painting it’s body.  Well now look at my little sweet doll character.  She  is smiling very sweetly :)

Step 16: Now we can start out detailing  our character’s clothing.  I also used Colour Dodge for the bright areas for her  button. At this point I realized that my character needs some details like the stitches.  So I make a new layer and paint some yellow  lines  as you see. I continue to  adding more details.  I also would like to add some more details  on her hairs too.  I add some strokes with the Dodge  too. l  use this because I want to add some slight  light areas on the character.  And here are the some tiny stitches.  This is how it looks once all the adjustments are done with the Color Dodge and Burn tool.

Step 17: And also I do want to show you how I added those shiny areas on my character.  I used  Color  Dodge  for this effect.  I always use this when  I want to add some light areas on my illustrations.  If this tutorial has taught you a single new thing you didn’t know prior to reading it, I will feel fulfilled to have inspired the slightest  glimpse in all you promising artists out there. What you must always remember is to try a variety of gadgets, tricks, tips and don’t be afraid  too be spontaneous. The only way to learn is by trial and error, don’t just follow my guide step by step but mix it up a bit, you always have  Ctrl + Z to Undo if something goes wrong.

Now try your brush. See how soft it is and make some strokes with your new brush settings. You see the soft strokes of the brush and there is nothing fancy about brushes since some of you wondered

Conclusion

And this is the final product of the Jada Doll.  One thing you may have noticed if you have seen my previous works is I  often design the characters in my illustrations with wide, ample eyes. The reason for this is, as you may know, we are born with the same  size of eyes we will have throughout our life.  That’s why babies and children create that “aww” effect on us adults, drawing designs with  large eyes creates that intrinsic endearing feeling.  I hope you found this Tutorial  interesting. Thank you for reading.

This blog appears to get a great deal of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
