Hi to all, in this tutorial I will show you how to create a liquid text with using Nextlimit’s Realflow. For our other works please visit our website http://www.3d2dizayn.com/ Should you have any questions or comments, please contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
First we are generating a Text in a 3d program. Here I am using Autodesk 3dsmax. I simply created a text titled Aqua in 3dsmax and applied it Extrude modifier from Modifer List then converted it to the Editable Patch to triangulate it. Keep in mind that if you want to import geometries from outside programs to Realflow your polygons must be triangulated already.
And we have to be careful about size of our Text.. Because if we import our object with a large size to Realflow we can have problems in simulation process. (Keep in mind that Realflow works with real world measurement.) There are two ways to arrange it; we can adjust our objects’ size in our 3d package or we can reduce the scene scale in Realflow. I preferred to manage it beforehand so ı get it done in 3dsmax. I clicked on the right button on my mouse to ‘Select and Uniform Scale’ and entered a reasonable number to scale down my object’s size.
Then I exported it to Realflow via Realflow’s Sd Export plugin.
I open up to Realflow and created a new project.
Here before doing anything go to File-Preferences and make sure you arranged the Axis setup a compatible choice which is consonant with your 3d package. In here I choose ZXY for 3ds max.
After that I went to File-Import-Import Object to ımport my object to RF…It goes directly to your Rf projects’ object folder. My text there already because I exported it to this folder.
